The Blind Side

For our anniversary that is dead in the middle of finals, we decided to celebrate it last night by going to dinner at Madeline's (a stake house here in Utah) and to the movies to see "The Blind Side". I would recommend that movie to everyone! It was SOOO good!! lol it made me want to go out and adopt a bunch of underprivileged kids. The best part of it is that it is based on a true story! and if you go to watch it, stay for the credits because they show pictures of the actual people it is based on.

Thanksgiving

Reid's sister Julie lives in Washington, and we were lucky enough to get to go visit her for Thanksgiving! We had SO much fun, and it was so good to see them!! Here are just a few pictures of some of the sites they took us too.
This is a famous mountain in Seattle that can only be seen on the clearest of clear days (which is hardly ever) but we were lucky enough to get a picture!!
His hip is as far as I go. Sad..I know.

This was a way cool underground farmers market, and pretty much everything else. It's called "Pike's Place"At the market, they pick up these fish and chuck them at each other. It's way fun to watch. I got video of it, but I still haven't figured out how to post videos.
That Sperm Whale jaw bone was floor to ceiling. Sorry the dumb trashcan there kind of ruined it.

The U game

This was my very first big football game ever! and it was FREEZING!!! I'm not sure what the score finished as because we left at half time. at halftime the score was 36 to 0, so we were positive the U won, got bored, and left. after we left we went and got Reid's Christmas present.
He likes to pick his own gifts out usually, so this is what he picked. He has gotten it out to show it to every person that comes over to visit now, he is that excited about it. I've threatened to hide it until Christmas, but I don't think it would do much good.
Then it was my turn to chose what we did, and we went and saw New Moon. It was SOOO good, and so much better than the first!! I thought it was odd, because I loved book one, and skipped through most of book 2, but i'm pretty reversed on the movies.

Anyways, that was our wonderful-much needed day out.

Grocer and Shopper

So I just had to take a picture of this because it was just TOO cute!! In the playroom there is a cute little window and Dylan (on the right, and the nephew we live with) and Gavin (another nephew on Reid's side) were playing grocer and shopper. Gavin would say a food, and Dylan would tell him the price and sell it to him, passing it through the window. They are both only 3, so it fascinated me for some reason. Probably just because I dont have kids of my own yet! lol

Kids say the Funniest things

So I'm coloring with my 6 year-old niece that we live with, and she tells me "I know everything there is about the jungle!"
so I say "That's great! What do you know?"
"there are lots of animals, and a lot of them are mean animals, and cool plants are there too."
"that's right! what kind of animals live there?"
"you know..snakes..lizards.."
"Good! what about camels?"
"no, they live in the desert."
"ok. what about elephants?"
"that's easy!! they live in the zoo!!"

Then there was also the other night babysitting, when I hear her yell at her 3-year old little brother "if you do that ONE more time, I am going to give you a BIG WEDGIE!!"
So, of course, I go over and say, "we don't give wedgies, that isn't very nice!"
and she replies with, "its ok! I do it to him all the time! he doesn't mind! sometimes, he likes it!!"
Then the 9-year old sees the shock in my face and runs over and whispers in my ear "don't worry..she thinks 'wedgie' means 'to tackle'" ..which really means play wrestling

both these stories were from only the past couple days. this kind of stuff is a daily occurrence!

Clinic Disclosing Tablet Day *YUCK!*

Today we learned how to do and read those nasty pink chew tablets that we've all had to do when we go to the dentist so they can "see how well we brush". It was pretty fun!! ..and gross!! We all had pink mouths pretty much the rest of the day.

Me and Darci...working hard!!!

More School...

This is everyone that lives really far away, and is in our carpool. (except Julianne on the far left bc she lives by us, but also has an apartment right by the school). After our 6 weeks of at least 2-3 midterms per week, we decided to reward ourselves at a place called smart cookie on our way home. Seriously..the BEST cookies I've ever had!!
and..this is the "corner". me on the left, then danielle, then natalie. It was on our break during Spanish class, I promise!!
But, Miss Jones STILL thought she had to punish us anyways (even though we can do whatever we want to on our break) so she made us 3 put on boxing gloves and fight eachother to "wake us up"
Playdough activity. Cami and Lindsy working hard!
